Assessments
Assessments help us understand your child’s unique strengths and support needs and inform recommendations and therapy goals. Assessments are tailored to each child and may involve formal standardised assessments, parent interview and questionnaires, observation of your child’s communication with others (e.g., family, peers, educators), and informal and dynamic assessments in play. Assessments typically take 1-3 sessions. Areas we assess include:
-
Language (understanding and expressing)
-
Articulation & Phonology (speech sound production and use)
-
Multimodal Communication
-
Pragmatic Language (social use of language)
-
Play Skills
A feedback session follows all assessments.
